first paper in 5days time,
ardi is coming back in 14days time
and that would result in X-men being in 16days time


Headline news in Halima's Life

1) as shown the result of my sociology mock exams in which only like 8 people turned up
--i did study, i cannot say i did not
as i did read the answers
once when i first printed it out
another time, on the way to school(even that i did not manage to finish it)
--but im happy....really ahppy
but i would be even happier if this is the kind of result i would get in the exams itself

2) when to the espirit sale wif jo and evelyn
bought some stuff too but i do not know when i will ever open it *laughs*

3) infinite justice_PREORDERED_
current status: waiting for arrival, hopefully it comes on the 22th june(then i can play, play, play)

4) job as a time keeper after exams-YAY-ness!

6) im sure by know many of you would have seen/read about the advert done by NUS Business School
if you have not read nor seen the ad, where have you been?
it is seriuosly cheesy.
im not putting down Singapore's education system or the university itself but seriuosly, why would anyone in their right mind chose NUS( #92) over schools like Wharton(#1) or even
Chicago(#6)?
if they had shown any other universities whose ranking are comparable to NUS, say those
within the range of 85-95, then it would be more plausible, but NUS over Wharton or Sloan: its
way too much.
its good that NUS has ambition, but take it step at a time, else it will be seen as a joke..as it is
now, looking at the comments poste in relation to the ad.
and the comment about guys being way too cute?
which part of one's course requirement states that it requires cute guys to be present?
in what way does presence of such guys actually aid in the attainment of the certificate one is
after?
and it has been said the comment was made in the name of fun, for light-heartedness, that has
been shown not to be the way people watching the ad percieves it and does NUS really want
such a superficial image attached to it?
how would such an image help them attain higher world ranking?
looking at other universities who are indeed good and reputable universities, have they come
with such ads?
there are more ways than one to gain recognition and cheesy ads are not the way to go.

ok here it is

ok the devil wears prada
its a bout an new graduate
who aspire to be a writer
but lands a job as an asst to the editor of a fashion magazine
the editor
is a bitach in the higest order
who makes impossible demandsa
like find me a skirt n send to me in some overseas country
by tonight
like huh?
wat colour?brand?shape?
or say she wants her lunch but when it gets there
she says she has already eaten
but the catch to standing all
this demands would be
that after a year
she would land the job of her dream
n thus pass thru more easily than
working for years as an asst as per her original plan
and so she sucks it in
even though she ends up negelcting a lot of ppl
like her bf n bff
n also her parents
well
she then gets a chance to go to paris for a show
but tht i when she flips
one month short of the end of her contract
by then her r/s wif her bf is already strained
n she quits
after some time
she manages to find a freelancing job
to support herself
frm ppl who hate the previous editor as well
she also ends up with 38k after selling the clothes she enmassed from the job
n thus everything ends up rather well for her
its a nice book to read
lets c how the movie turns out aye?

why does the person i like most is associated wif the color i hate most
